What to expect in the session

Once we have got to know each other a little, we will have a chat about where you are in your life and what is bothering you. We'll look at what you would like to change and why, as this will help us to work together to find the outcome you want. I will explain the treatment plan we will use to get the results you want, and you can ask questions at any time. I will then ask you to sit comfortably on a supportive chair and we will begin with the hypnosis.

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is not mind control. It's a very natural phenomena often referred to as 'trance' that occurs when we are highly focused on our inner awareness to the exclusion of all else. Everyday trance states are part of the human experience, such as becoming absorbed in a good book or movie, driving down a familiar road with no conscious recollection of doing so, when in meditation, or when undertaking a repetitive or a creative activity. Hypnosis is used in therapy to induce a trance with the use of imagery and suggestion. This enables the therapist to guide your thoughts towards the outcome you desire, reasoning and suggesting that any thoughts holding you back from this outcome, are dissolved and replaced by positive, empowering beliefs that strengthen and support your mind/body system. Hypnosis is very relaxing and is a welcome relief for anxiety sufferers or those experiencing tension and stress.

The way I work

I work both online (via Zoom) and in person at my clinic in Chorley. I offer 1:1's or group therapy sessions which can be purchased as singular sessions or as a discounted bulk buy. Most issues require a minimum of 3-6 sessions however during the FREE consultation, you will be advised on how many sessions you will likely need for the results you are looking to achieve. When working in person, the hypnosis will be done in the session, and you will have an opportunity to record the hypnosis on your phone to listen to again at your leisure. When working online, you will be given a professionally recorded hypnosis audio after your session.
